Private tour admission is $15 dollars plus museum admission per person in your party.

Private Events at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum
Host a one-of-a-kind event surrounded by Olympic history at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum. With immersive exhibits, inspiring stories of Olympic athletes, and a unique setting inside the Olympic Center, the Museum offers a memorable venue for networking events and special gatherings.

Event Rental Information
Rental Rates
Private event rentals are available during or after regular museum hours.
- During Museum Hours (9:30 am – 5 pm): $1,000 per hour

- This rate reflects the cost of closing the museum to the public for your private event.
- After Hours (after 5 pm): $500 per hour
Add-On Experiences
Enhance your event with unique Olympic-themed experiences.
- Private Guided Tour: $10 per person
Includes a guided experience through the museum and highlights of the Olympic Center.
- Touch-a-Torch Activity: $500 flat fee per activity
Hold a real Olympic torch!
Food & Beverage
Food and beverage service is welcome at museum events.
- Events typically feature beer, wine, specialty cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres.
- Passed appetizers or light food stations work best with the museum’s open layout.
- Bars and catering setups must be located outside the museum galleries.
Event Style
Due to the design of the exhibit spaces, the museum is best suited for cocktail-style events rather than seated dinners.
Many groups choose to:
- Host dinner in the Olympic Center or a nearby venue, and
- Use the museum for a welcome reception, networking event, or after-party experience.

Limited AV capabilities are available and can support brief welcome remarks or short presentations, depending on the event setup.

Most museum events run 1–3 hours, making the space ideal for welcome receptions, networking gatherings, or an evening addition to a larger event or celebration.

Tour Pricing Information
Tours are available at $15 Dollars per person, $10 Dollars for Groups of 20+.
This per person fee does not include museum admission which can be found on our Tickets & Admission Page.
The private tour, different from the Olympic Center’s Guided Tour, includes a museum team member providing insight into museum exhibits, the collection, and a brief walking tour around the arena to see the historic rinks featured in the exhibits of the museum.
