Overview

On Saturday, July 12, the Lake Placid Olympic Museum will be open from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for Sensory-Friendly Hour. This program allows individuals with sensory processing disorders and their families to visit the Museum before opening.

During Sensory-Friendly Hour, some of the exhibits that may be loud or bright will be turned down or off. This will create a quieter and more relaxed environment for visitors who are sensitive to sensory stimuli. Sensory Bags with noise-canceling headphones, a fidget toy, and a museum sensory map will be available to help everyone learn and feel welcome during their visit.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for military, youth (7-19), students, and seniors (65+), and free for children 6 and under.

If you have questions, would like more information, or would like a copy of a Social Story specific to Sensory-Friendly Hour, please email Bridey at [email protected].
