Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Riley Tejcek Team USA Women’s Bobsled athlete, United States Marine Corps (USMC) Captain, children’s book author, 2023 Ms. Military, and a 2026 Olympic Hopeful—will be joining us at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum on March 16, 2025, for our new Empowerment Hour program. Whether as an elite athlete, military officer, or author, Riley Tejcek continues to redefine what it means to break barriers and pursue greatness. We look forward to welcoming her and celebrating her indomitable spirit.
About Riley
Riley’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. Hailing from Carmel, Indiana, she has consistently demonstrated excellence in every endeavor she pursues. After earning a degree in Political Science from George Washington University as a four-year scholar-athlete and Division I college softball player, Riley joined the Marine Corps to serve her country. Her dedication and determination soon propelled her to another competitive arena—international bobsledding as a pilot for Team USA.
As a member of Team USA Women’s Bobsled, Riley has competed in prestigious events, including the World Championships in Switzerland and Germany. With over 20 medals from the World Cup, North American Cup, and Europa Cup since 2021, she is determined to continue her journey toward the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Balancing her role as an active-duty Marine with her athletic pursuits, Riley embodies resilience and perseverance.
Riley’s talents extend beyond the world of sports. She is a children’s book author who channels her experiences to inspire and empower young readers, and as the 2023 Ms. Military, Riley has been a keynote speaker and host at numerous events, using her platform to advocate for women in sports and the military. Her journey exemplifies that women have a rightful and celebrated place in both arenas.

Little ones and their adults are invited to a Story Hour and Craft event where Riley will read her new children’s book If You Can Dream It, Be It, and museum staff will lead a craft activity. This is a free event.
